As you return to the Twine story structure, you will see that you have two new passages! You made choice possible! You are totally an agent of free will! Now, simply ] by pressing the X at the topright corner. Did you enter two choices? It should look something like this: How? ]! Interactivity means choice, in the Twine editor, choice can be given in the form of almighty brackets, like so: ![]() In it you can create entire interactive (hi)stories! This text editor is deceptively simple, though. Since this is the first passage, call it something suitable, like "Beginning" While you are at it, also give a title to this passage. I see you like to take (print: $route)! That's fine! Open the passage for editing by clicking on it once and selecting the (Edit) (link:"pencil") or you could do what it says and (link:"Double-click this passage to edit it") There is a menu at the bottom and one "Untitled passage" You may want to follow along on the big screen as it is probably easier for you to keep focusing on the tab that contains your story. Think of a name for your story! Don't spend all your time on thinking about a good name, though. There is a (css: "font-size: 150% ") (css: "color: green ") button with "+ Story" on it, ]. You should see an empty field with a menu to the right. But if you like we can save this story at the end of the class, e-mail it or put it on a thumb-drive and open it somewhere else!Īnyway, let's ] Twine, by following the "use it online" link. Great! Let's use it online! Before we do that though, it is good to note that this means any stories we make here are saved in the browser you are working in at the moment. It doesn't really matter though, the ] version works as well as the downloaded one. ] I understand you would like to have it safe and snug on your local machine, but probably University IT services won't let us do that (you can try and install it, if you like). You can download it, but also use it in your browser.
